I'm a Yorkshire born, Chesterfield based celebrant with working class roots. I’m a fun-loving, geeky, talkative gal who gets carried away with the romance of couples ceremonies, falls in love with every baby I meet, and who gets huge satisfaction from helping families create a loving memorial and celebration of life for their loved one. We will get every little element of your ceremony perfect because that's how I roll. A lifetime's experience in public speaking and writing, a Master's degree in English Literature and celebrant training from the very best company in the UK, means you can be sure your celebration is in safe hands.
Costume making and geeking out over my favourite shows are two of my favourite things to do. Here I am with my son, wearing our competition winning Red Dwarf costumes, both custom made by me for the Dimension Jump convention. Doesn't my son look awesome as Ace Rimmer? What a Guy!
I also love to dance and have been teaching Zumba for 13 years. Here I am with my fella after a sweaty class!
........if my hair isn't the same colour as on my profile picture! This isn't even the craziest colour I've had my hair, just the most recent bright one. It does tend to be some variant of red these days but its been every shade from rainbow to blonde., What can I say? I get bored easily.
The Funeral Celebrant Accord defines the attributes and skills required of an excellent funeral celebrant and is intended to set the standards by which all celebrants offering funeral services should be measured. The role of a funeral celebrant is to serve the bereaved and their community by creating and leading a personal, accurate and respectful funeral ceremony. Their work should clearly reflect the life, values and beliefs of the person who has died, acknowledge and give time to their community of family and friends, and create an environment in which the grieving process can be held and supported.
Training to NOCN Level 3 with an OFSTED Outstanding training provider in both Couples and Funeral Celebrancy.
Masters Degree in English Literature
Celebrants are not accepted as members of the AOIC unless they are trained to a minimum standard, and commit to continuous personal development.
